EJO is sponsored by Mansoura Ophthalmic Center (MOC), Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University. MOC is an educational, research, and community institution that was founded in 1995 and aims to achieve distinction and leadership in the field of medical research, education, and community service locally and nationally and one of the authorized training centers for the fellowship of the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) and Arabic board. EJO is registered and supported by the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB).
